The Principality of Andorra is a micro-state in the Pyrenees mountains chain, found on the border of it's (much larger) neighbours France & Spain. This trip will see us journey into the mountainous landscape of the 16th smallest country in the world. From our valley base we will select a route into a different part of this entirely mountainous state for 3 of our days before returning to our accommodation each night. Two days and one night will be spent making a trek to stay overnight in a Mountain ‘refugio’ before aiming to summit the highest peak in Andorra, ‘Pic de Coma Pedrosa’, then descending back to our valley base.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY:

Join us for an exhilarating, challenging trek
through the breathtaking Andorran Mountains.

Day 1-3 We'll start our journey along the iconic GR7 trail, a historic path stretching from Gibraltar to Greece. Our focus is on the rugged Andorran segment, where stunning landscapes and dramatic mountain terrain await. Over three days on the GR7, we'll stay in both a comfortable city hotel and a traditional mountain refuge. Each day promises over 1,000 meters of ascent, with expansive views
of the Andorran Pyrenees as your reward.

Day 4 Our route leads to the town of Pas de la Casa, followed by a transfer to Arinsal, where we'll enjoy a hotel stay with the option of a rest day
or a shorter hike.

Day 5 Our final day takes us to the summit of Pic de Coma Pedrosa, Andorra's highest peak, offering panoramic views that will leave you
speechless.

This adventure is both physically demanding and incredibly rewarding -perfect for those seeking the thrill of the mountains.

(Please note: adverse weather conditions, or unforeseen events, may require changes to proposed itinerary)

This trip would be ideal for anyone looking to enjoy mountain trekking overseas and would also be ideal as an introduction to using a mountain Refugi/o. There may be long days and steep ascents/descents during this trip so an appropriate level of physical fitness prior to the trip would be beneficial.

INCLUDED:

  • Planning, organisation, logistics and leadership from a fully qualified and experienced International Mountain Leader. Mark Valentine is the first, and currently only, British International Mountain Leader with the legally required validation to operate within Andorra.
  • 3 -nights' accommodation with bed & breakfast in cosy hotels in Les Escalades & Arinsal
  • 2 nights stay in  Mountain  Refugi in a communcal bunk area with an evening meal & breakfast included
  • Shared return transfers door-to-door from either Barcelona or Toulouse AIrport (Please speak with Andorra Mountain Collective first before booking flights to ensure there is a suitable scheduled transfer service to bring you up to resort in time)
